Field Installable Connector (FIC, also called Fast Connector) is a perfect solution for field termination and widely used in the FTTH market now.

FIC is pre-produced in the factory, so there is no need to use epoxy, polishing, and crimping in the field.

This makes fiber terminations fast, easy and reliable.

Fiber optic connectors (FOC) carry information using entirely optical (light based) technology. They comprise so-called light guides which are made of transparent components such as glass or plastic to transport optical signals in the form of light. To perform the optical transmission in the connection, the individual fibers are connected to each other with maximum precision. High-precision mechnical guide tubes - ferrules - bundle the fibers and accommodate them in the connector.

Product Usage Steps

1.Take out the tail sleeve and put it into the drop cable.

2.Strip the outer sheath of the drop cable with a stripper (keep the fiber length about 5MM).

3.Strip the fiber coating with Miller pliers and leave the coating (for small-diameter fiber, start stripping about 5MM away from the glass).

4.Clean the fiber with alcohol and a lint-free cloth.

5.Take out the tail sleeve and put it into the drop cable.

6.Strip the outer sheath of the drop cable with a stripper (keep the coating length about 5MM).

7.Hold the drop cable with the left thumb and ring finger, and the right index finger, and tighten the component.

8.Close the upper cover and start locking (press the latch when using).
