How to Identify the Common Terminal of a 4-Wire Motor:

Use a multimeter set to the resistance (*1) mode to measure the resistance between the four terminals.

The terminal with the smallest and equal resistance to the other three terminals is the COM terminal (common terminal).

Note:

The driver board automatically identifies 3-wire or 4-wire brushless motors.

For 4-wire brushless motors, the COM wire can be left unconnected.
